Basic Hunter-Trapper Education

Otherwise known simply as the Hunters Safety Course, a basic hunter-trapper education course is required, by law, for all first-time hunters and trappers, regardless of age. You must successfully complete Hunter-Trapper Education training before you can buy a Pennsylvania hunting or trapping license. A training certificate, which is recognized throughout North America, is awarded when you pass a test at the end of the course. You must be at least 11 years old to enroll in a class. The training is designed to produce safe, responsible, knowledgeable and involved participants.

Once a year Burnt Ridge Bow & Gun Club holds a Hunters Safety Course at our location. This year's class will be held on Saturday March 31, 2018.

PLEASE NOTE: You must complete the PA Game Commission online course before attending the class
